CSR was established in 1947 in White Plains, NY, as Colortone Audio Visual Staging & Rentals. The company eventually grew to become one of the largest audio visual dealers in the state and expanded into Cleveland in 1987 at the request of the Stouffer Tower City Plaza Hotel (now the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel).
Bob Leon, our company president, managed several properties for Colortone for 15 years. He finally landed at Stouffer’s, where he founded a staging company. Soon he was concentrating all his energies into the staging division and, in 1993, bought the Ohio division of Colortone (with his wife, Karen) and began to expand into new areas of service.
In 1998, the Salt Lake City office was opened to meet the needs of our existing clients who were headed west and also to attract new business. This move proved an advantageous one when we were awarded the primary contract to the Salt Lake Olympic Committee to provide audio visual services to the 2002 Winter Games.
The business continues to grow. We now have a staff of nearly 50 and, in late 2005, expanded again by opening an office in Pittsburgh.
